MistyWest Energy & Transport is a design and engineering firm from Vancouver, BC. Since 2009 they have evolved from a small startup working at a desk-share space to a 12+ employee company with their own office in Mount Pleasant.
To reflect the company’s maturity, I was brought on to revamp MistyWest’s logo and solidify its image. The company’s new logo is a more refined and minimalist interpretation of their original logo, which is inspired by electric wavelengths and the mountains surrounding Vancouver.
An identity guide was created to maintain consistent branding on a regular basis, with the typeface Glober utilized on all internal and external collateral. Staff received new business cards that came in 3 varying brand colours and a UV gloss.
In addition to the new branding, MistyWest needed an overhaul on its website. I worked with a web development agency on designing the layout and provided unique icons for MistyWest’s services and achievements. Since the website has been launched I have worked on an occasional basis at refining elements on the site and updating it with new portfolio projects (the site has since been changed to a new format).
